  1. How long have you been with the company and what is your job role?

    I have been with Douglas OHI for the past 16 years and three months – precisely since 1 April 2004.

    My initial role was as part of the site team operations, and since then I have undertaken many different roles including site management, job coordination, etc, which has led me to my current position as Administration and Camp Manager.

  2. What are the biggest changes you have seen since you joined the company?

    During my time at Douglas OHI, I have seen tremendous positive changes throughout the company in terms of rewards, talent development, solid geographical footprint growth, and exceptional delivery of projects.

    3. These are just a few changes of the top of the my head... the list is pretty long.

  3. What does safety mean to you?

    To me, safety is to never compromise a person’s well-being to finish a job. We work in a stressful environment, but it’s never worth taking shortcuts and risk an accident.

  4. What is the most satisfying thing about your job?

    I absolutely love the teamwork and the respect that we all have for one another. It is fun coming to work with happy people who love where they work and I see smiles every- where I turn.

    5. Work feels effortless, because everyone comes together to deliver.

    I thoroughly enjoy all the work I do on daily basis for the company, and I do this with gratitude from the bottom of my heart.

  5. What are the biggest challenges you face on a daily basis?

    Unfortunately due to present conditions I am not able to spend a lot of time in the camp. As with most businesses, we have had to adapt to new ways of working, but this has not prevented me from performing my role efficiently and productively.

  6. What do you say to those people who worry a lot about the COVID -19 situation?

    I would say to all of you - do not panic.

    7. COVID-19 is everywhere and everyone is dealing with this pandemic.

    What we must do is follow the instruction that we are given by the relevant authorities and maintain good hand hygiene, isolate if advised, wear face masks properly and do not go out unless absolutely necessary.

    We have come through many challenges in the past, and we will again with good team work and good team spirit we will come through this stronger.

  7. What has been your favorite day at work so far?

    Every day is my favorite day as long as I work for Dougals OHI and with my favorite team in Sohar. We have a great team here, and there have been lots of opportunities for growth.

    8. At Douglas OHI you definitely feel that you’ve become a part of a family.

    Douglas OHI employs a top-down leadership approach and the management is ready and willing to jump in when required.

    Having a well-put-together team starts from the top and I’m so fortunate to have such an amazing leadership team. We’re all here to support one another to grow professionally, as well as personally.
